South of England Cross Country Championships 2017

 11.00  Under 15 Boys                    4500 metres

 11.20 Under 13 Girls                3000 metres

 11.35 Under 13 Boys               3000 metres

 11.50  Under 15 Girls               4000 metres

 12.10  Under 17 Men                6000 metres

 12.40  Under 20 Women           6000 metres

  1.05  Under 17 Women            5000 metres

  1.30  Under 20 Men                 8000 metres

  2.05  Senior Women                8000 metres

  2.50  Senior Men                     15000 metres

 

Everyone must wear club kit and will be given a chip to put on to record their time. The chips must be handed in at the end of the race otherwise we/you will be charged £7 by the organisers!

 All teams are 4 to score except the Senior Men which is 6 to score.

 

 DIRECTIONS and TRAVEL

 Train – Nearest Stations Gospel Oak (Overground) 5 mins walk from the course

                                        Kentish Town (Thameslink and Northern Line) 15-20 mins walk from course

 Car – The event has two car parks for spectators which each hold around 200 cars. They are at the bottom of East Heath Rd (NW3 2RJ) and Jack Straws car park (NW3 7ES).

 Mini bus - There may be the possibility of having a minibus that will be able to take a limited number of athletes. 

 Athletes should make their own way to the venue and meet at the club tent at least 90 minutes before the start of their race so they have time to walk the course.

If anyone has a problem with these arrangements please let us know by Tuesday 24th and we will arrange groups of athletes to travel together.

 

MINI-MARATHON

If you are qualified to run for Bromley in the Mini-Marathon don’t forget to return your trial application forms to Andy by 30thJanuary. The trials take place as part of Crystal Palace Park runs on February 4th/11th/18th.        

 

NEXT CLUB FIXTURE

 The National Cross-Country Championships at Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 25thFebruary starting at 11.00. Full details of the arrangements for this fixture which includes a 2 night away stay for most athletes will be issued by 1stFebruary and will include code of conduct forms which athletes must sign and return before departure. The coach will leave the Club house at 1.00 pm on Friday 24thFebruary returning mid-afternoon Sunday 26thFebruary.
