The Course is suitable for spikes throughout. It is a more traditional course than normal, not parkland or sports fields. The whole of the course is on wide farm tracks used by farm vehicles. After heavy rain the tracks can get very wet.
There is a sizeable car parking area on grass, but if filled there are laybys along Birchwood Road, and half a mile away is Summerhouse Drive estate, which has plenty of scope for street parking. There will be a £1 charge for car parking. There are no changing facilities and they will be using portaloos.
There are no individual awards for this race, however there are individual awards available to athletes who compete in all four of the Kent League fixtures (Oct 15 & 29, Nov 12 & 26).
This race is one of the three that Kent will use to select a team for the Southern Inter-Counties in December. If you to be considered for Kent selection you should make every effort to race.
Local traffic should take the B2173 at Ruxley Corner which is signposted to Swanley.
Continue along the B2173 until you come to a set of traffic lights by the Premier Inn (The Bull) and turn left into Birchwood Road. The farm is about 0.8 miles on the right hand side and follow instructions for parking
Those coming from further afield should take the M25 to Junction 3 (only 3 miles from the course) and at the roundabout take the B2173 through Swanley turning right at the traffic lights by the Premier Inn into Birchwood Road and follow as above.
