Kent Cross Country League Somerhill School, Tonbridge Sat. 29th October 2016
The second Kent League cross-country fixture of the season takes place at Somerhill School, Tonbridge TN11 0NJ on Saturday 29th October. The timetable is as follows:
12:00 Under 13 Girls 2700m
12:20 Under 13 Boys 3300m
12:40 Under 15 Girls 3300m
13:00 Under 15 Boys 4100m
13.20 Under 17 Women & Under 20 Women 3600m
13.40 Under 17 Men & Under 20 Men 5300m
14.00 Senior & Veteran Women 5300m
14.30 Senior & Veteran Men 9800m
Those who want to walk the course should meet at the club tent at 10.45
There are no individual awards for this race, however there are individual awards available to athletes who compete in all four of the Kent League fixtures (Oct 15 & 29, Nov 12 & 26).
This race is one of the three that Kent will use to select a team for the Southern Inter-Counties in December. If you to be considered for Kent selection you should make every effort to race.
The course is located just off the A21 (London – Hastings) road where major road works are currently taking place. Turn off the A21 at the A26 Tonbridge turning and at the roundabout take the second exit Woodgate Way / A26 at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit Tudeley Rd/B2017. Then turn right into Somerhill School grounds and follow signs to car parking near the course.
The next club fixture is the National Cross-Country Relays on Saturday 5th November at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield, NG18 4JR starting at 11.00
Up to 3 teams of three runners will be selected for this fixture which includes separate Under 20 races.
The next Kent League will be our home fixture on Saturday 12th November which will also include our club championships.

P.S.The Bromley Schools Cross-Country Championships are scheduled for Thursday 3rd November at Darrick Wood School for those wishing to qualify for the Kent Schools so please check with your school that you are entered.
